Andrei and Sergei Kostitsyn, along with Roman Hamrlik, have been cleared of any wrongdoing in their association with a man arrested during a sting operation in February.
I don't like to write about topics that aren't hockey related, hence, no Guy Lafleur posts. This issue however, was a major distraction (among many) for the hockey team last season. Both Kostitsyns went into slumps after reports of their link with Pasquale Mangiola surfaced. Sergei was demoted to Hamilton almost immediately.
Hopefully, this will serve as a good reminder of what can happen when players forget that Montreal is a fishbowl for anyone who sits on the home bench at the Bell Centre.
